Young Historians Summer Sessions – Anglo-Saxons and Normans

Wednesday 6th August at 2pm-4pm

Are you aged 14–18 and curious about history?

Join us in the Cathedral Archives for a unique hands-on session exploring original documents and manuscripts from the Anglo-Saxon and Norman periods. Learn how the Norman Conquest impacted the southwest of England and discover how history is preserved through these centuries-old records. You will get a behind-the-scenes look at rare archival materials and uncover the stories they tell about life at the Cathedral in Anglo-Saxon and Norman England.

Spaces are limited so please get in touch with Ella Barber, Youth Engagement Officer, to express your interest in attending this session. Spaces (priced at £5 per ticket) will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Are you over 18 and interested in exploring the Library and Archives? Find out more about how to book a visit here.
