The Devon County Junior Choir is Exeter Cathedral’s Junior Choir for singers in years 4-8. The Junior Choir, directed by Andrew Downton, receives high quality musical training and the opportunity to perform in a wide range of musical styles. As part of the Junior Choir singers have access to exciting performance opportunities. Recent performances have included singing alongside the English Touring Opera, Exeter Philharmonic Choir and classic rock legends Jethro Tull.

The choir holds termly recruitment days when candidates can experience part of a rehearsal and have an informal audition. For more information and to apply please contact the choir’s Musical Director, Andrew Downton.
Singers in years 8-13 can join the Schola Exe youth choir. The choir has a varied repertoire of music in four parts (including lower voices) and performs alongside the Junior Choir at the termly Chorister Outreach Concerts in the Cathedral.
