A cycle of worship and prayer throughout the year underpins the life of Exeter Cathedral. Daily services begin with the simple said office of Morning Prayer and often close with Choral Evensong sung by the Cathedral Choir. The Cathedral is home to several Sunday congregations and holds special services at Advent and Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Easter and at other times throughout the year.

Following the Government’s recent announcement about ‘Plan B’ in response to rising cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 , face masks are now mandatory inside Exeter Cathedral, unless you are exempt for medical reasons.

The ‘Covid Pass’ will not be required if you are attending a service or concert at the Cathedral, as these are seated events.

Masks are not currently required for visitors to the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market, but we do strongly recommend them.

We are continuing to monitor the situation on a daily basis, and will post updates on our website and social media channels.
