People value Exeter Cathedral in all sorts of ways: as Devon’s greatest historic building; as the beating heart of Exeter; as a place of worship and world-class music; as a venue for concerts and activities; as an inspirational space to reflect; and as a social hub.
But the coronavirus pandemic has stopped many of these activities, and with them, the income we rely on to keep this building going. For much of the last year, we haven’t been able to welcome visitors, our choristers and musicians could not perform, events were cancelled, and our shop and café could no longer serve our customers.
It has been a difficult time for everyone. But if you are able to give to Exeter Cathedral today, we can continue to be here for you. We don’t receive regular funding from the government or from the Church of England, so your donation really will make a difference. It will help ensure our long-term financial stability and enable us to emerge ready to serve the people of Devon, as we have done for a thousand years.
