Art of the Book: 1,000 Years of Bookbinding

Tuesday 13 February 2024, 2pm-3:30pm in the Exeter Cathedral Library

Join us for the first seminar in our Art of the Book series. Take a closer look at some of Exeter Cathedral’s most beautiful bookbindings, from medieval tawed sheepskin to gorgeous gold-tooled goatskin and polished tree-stained calf.  Discover how bindings have been made across the centuries and what they can tell us about books and their owners.

Booking essential.
