Summer Concert Series:
Jan Liebermann

Thursday 17 July 2025 at 7pm

We are thrilled to welcome rising German organist, Jan Liebermann, for a special recital, as part of our Summer Concert series.

Hailed as one of Europe’s most exciting young organ talents, Liebermann will showcase the full expressive power of the Cathedral’s magnificent organ in a wide-ranging and virtuosic programme.

The evening begins with Healey Willan’s grand Introduction, Passacaglia and Fugue, followed by Bach’s beloved Air from the Orchestral Suite No. 3, in a lyrical arrangement by Sigfrid Karg-Elert. Also featured are Alfred Hollins’ stirring Concert Overture in F minor, John Ireland’s playful Capriccio, and Maurice Duruflé’s evocative Suite Op. 5—from its rich Prélude to the dazzling Toccata.

This promises to be a memorable evening of colour, power, and finesse from one of the next generation’s brightest stars.
