Eco Church Celebration at Exeter Cathedral

Sunday 28 April, 12:30pm–3:30pm

You are invited to a special Eco Church event at Exeter Cathedral. Organised by the Creation Care Team at the Diocese of Exeter, celebrate the Eco Church scheme in Devon and all that has been achieved so far. Dave Bookless from A Rocha will be sharing an inspiring message alongside Churches from around the Diocese. The Right Reverend Bishop Jackie, acting Bishop of Exeter, will also be honouring new Eco Churches at every level by presenting churches with their awards during the afternoon.

Enjoy a wide range of displays and stalls from environmental organisations working across Devon. Delegates are also very welcome to stay on for Evensong from 4pm led by Reverend Canon Cate Edmonds, focusing on caring for creation.

Agenda:

12:30pm–1:00pm: Time to visit stalls and chat to others.

1:00pm–2:00pm: Talks begin – Opening call to action from Dave Bookless, info on Eco Church and stories from local churches.

2:00pm–2:30pm: Break.

2:30pm–3:15pm: Questions to the panel & presentation of awards – A chance for you to ask questions from our panel of experts, presentation of awards from Bishop Jackie and information on upcoming support from the Diocese and CofE.

3:15pm–4:00pm: Refreshments.

4:00pm–5:15pm: Evensong.

Come along and be encouraged to take action in your parish and mission community. Booking is required as spaces are limited.
