Modern Misericord Woodcarving Demonstrations

Modern Misericord Woodcarving Demonstrations

19, 20 & 21 February, 11am-1:15pm and 1:45pm-4pm

Come and see Woodcarver William Barsley carving a new set of misericords as part of our Modern Misericord Project. William will be working with the winners of our recent Modern Misericord Design Challenge to create four new misericords, inspired by Exeter Cathedral’s 49 medieval tip-up seats, that will be featured in our new Treasures Gallery exhibition space. Come along to see how the misericords will be made and watch as they begin to take shape.

The Modern Misericord Project is kindly supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
