Exeter Philharmonic Choir: The Weather Book

Exeter Philharmonic Choir is proud to launch its 2025/26 season with the world première of a new choral work, The Weather Book. This explores aspects of the history of weather and meteorology – certainly appropriate for the city that is home to the Met Office! Composer Cecilia McDowall will lead a free pre-concert talk, sharing all about her new composition.
The programme also includes Brahms’ Tragic Overture, Vaughan Williams’ Toward the Unknown Region, Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody and Poulenc’s Gloria.

A pre-concert talk with Cecilia McDowall will take place at 6:30pm at the nearby Devon and Exeter Institution, 7 Cathedral Close, Exeter. Admission is free, but tickets for the talk must be booked with concert tickets.
