Exeter Philharmonic Choir – Carols in the Cathedral

Exeter Philharmonic Choir – Carols in the Cathedral

Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 December at 7:30pm

Exeter Philharmonic Choir is delighted once again to celebrate the festive season with two nights of Carols in Exeter Cathedral, on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 December. The special guest this year will be solo trumpeter Julian Poore, who has had a rich and extensive career as a professional trumpeter, having travelled the world with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

The concert will weave a theme of carols old and new, with familiar tunes alongside reworkings of traditional carols. Extracts from Handel’s much-loved Messiah will contrast with works written by leading English composers in the past few years. And as usual, the audience will have the chance to join in singing some well-known Christmas music.
