There are eight Minor Trusts which are administered by Exeter Cathedral. Six of the eight are restricted to clergy or their dependents and choristers or former choristers, at the Cathedral. Of the other two Trusts, one is to advance the religious and other charitable purposes of the Church of England in the Diocese of Exeter and one is to support schools providing religious education. The Trusts and a fuller description of the terms under which they are able to support grant applications are set out in the application form. The Trustees are the members of Chapter.
Please note that none of the trusts are very large, and grants may be restricted accordingly.
Applications for each of the trusts other than the Caryll Wenborn Fund, are made usually in April and May each year and are considered by the Trustees, in their June meeting.
Applications for grants from the Caryll Wenborn Fund are invited in September and October each year and will be considered by the Trustees in November.
In exceptional circumstances and solely at their discretion, the Trustees will consider applications outside the usual timetable.
The successful applications will be contacted shortly afterwards. Once the award has been made it must be drawn down by August the following year or it is lost.
Applications can be made directly using the form below.
