Exeter Cathedral Abseil

The Exeter Cathedral Abseil

On Saturday 4 May a group of brave individuals will be abseiling down the north tower of Exeter Cathedral to raise funds for the building of our new Cloister Gallery. The new structure will connect the Cathedral with the 13th century Chapter House and Pearson Building, making us a better place for community gatherings, events and much more.

The event has been organised Anne Eyre, the widow of a former Dean of Exeter. Anne had  originally planned to abseil in 2020 for her 80th birthday, however this was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Come along and support the abseilers at our abseil fundraising fun day where you can also enjoy a range of activities including a penalty shoot out, the Exeter Independent Market, a ‘Living Cathedral Sound Walk’, medieval tile scrubbing, labyrinth walking, organ recitals and much more.
