Continuing our series, ‘In the Library with …’, join the Cathedral Librarian for a unique opportunity to experience John Gerard’s magnificent Herball or Generall Historie of Plantes.

Plants that bleed, roots that scream, flowers that heal, John Gerard’s Herball opens a door to the fascinating world of Renaissance botany. Discover more about the medicine, myth and emerging science of the 16th century and the book that shaped the early modern view of the natural world.
