John Stainer’s ‘The Crucifixion’
with University of Exeter Chapel Choir
Good Friday 3 April 2026 | 7:30pm
Join the University of Exeter Chapel Choir and its alumni for a moving Good Friday performance of John Stainer’s The Crucifixion at Exeter Cathedral.
Written in 1887 as a meditation on the Passion of Christ, the work combines reflective choruses, expressive solos and well-loved hymns to create one of the most enduring devotional pieces in the English choral tradition.
In the magnificent setting of the Cathedral, this special performance brings together current student singers and former members of the choir for an evening of music, reflection and prayer at the heart of Holy Week. All are warmly welcome.
No booking required.
