Gathering of cathedral musicians heads to Devon

Exeter Cathedral’s organ loft might be a little more crowded than usual next week, as we welcome organists from cathedrals and churches around the country.

The gathering of the Assistant Cathedral Organists Association, hosted by Exeter Cathedral on 12-13 March, will bring together cathedral musicians serving in ‘assistant’ roles for their annual conference.

During the two day event there will be talks led by Exeter Cathedral’s resident musicians, and other opportunities for professional development. The visitors will also travel to Buckfast Abbey to learn about the new Ruffatti organs that were installed there in 2017.

Conference delegates will attend Choral Evensong in Exeter Cathedral on Monday 12th March at 17.30. The service will be led by the Cathedral Choir and members of the public are invited to attend.
