Summer Music Series: David Leigh

We are delighted to be joined by David Leigh from St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, for the first organ recital of the Summer Music Series.

David is the Organist and Assistant Master of the Music at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, where he also directs the Schola (Senior Girls’ Choir) and Lay Vicars Choral. He also pursues a busy freelance career as a conductor, keyboard player and concert organist. In addition to directing The Gaudete Singers he is Musical Director of the University of Dublin Choral Society and of the Culwick Choral Society, and is artistic director of the Pipeworks Festival. He plays regularly with both RTÉ Concert and National Symphony orchestras and with the Ulster Orchestra, and has appeared a number of times as conductor with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, most recently in a programme of music by Poulenc and Vaughan Williams in this year’s Pipeworks Festival.

Running from 30 June to 1 September, this year’s Exeter Cathedral Summer Music Series brings you an inspired season of performances by esteemed organists, orchestras and choirs, visiting from across the UK and Ireland.
