This Love Your Burial Ground Week (5-13 June) neighbours Exeter Cathedral and the Devon & Exeter Institution are joining together to celebrate Cathedral Green as a tree-filled green space in the heart of Exeter, and as the old burial ground for the city of Exeter.
Cathedral Green has been popular with generations of visitors as a place to enjoy a fine view of the Cathedral and the wonderfully varied architecture of the Close, as a meeting place for solemn and joyful occasions, and to enjoy some leisure time and eat a picnic. If visitors pause for a moment they will see that it is not only fine architecture on display, but also a wealth of different tree species. Join us this Love Your Burial Ground week to discover more.
