Light of Hope at Exeter Cathedral

Sunday 1st November 2020 at 18:00

On All Saints Day an installation called Light of Hope by Sculptor Peter Walker will light up the sky outside Exeter Cathedral. Along with other Cathedrals and Churches around the country, Exeter Cathedral have been invited to cast beams of light into the sky to become beacons for all around.

“Light of Hope is an opportunity for us to collectively remember those who have helped and given so much during the past year, as well as take time to remember those we have lost and think about those near to us”

PETER WALKER, SCULPTOR

Get involved at home this half-term:

Through Light of Hope we invite you to explore the great power of light over darkness; to think about how light can bring new colour, how it brings new life, and how it always brings hope.

If you would like to get involved and create your own Light of Hope in your window at home, please email [email protected] for an activity pack, or download here. Share photographs of your Light of Hope on social media using #LightofHope @exetercathedral @pwalkersculptor
