‘We came for the awe and wonder – you just can’t get in school. It’s a more authentic experience to come to the Cathedral.’ Art in the Cathedral Doddiscombsleigh Primary 2014
Throughout the year activity backpacks are also available to borrow free of charge from the entrance desk. These are designed to help you and your child become Cathedral explorers using binoculars, magnifying glasses and compasses. The Cathedral has been able to develop this resource thanks to support from Groundwork UK and Big Lottery Fund's Community Spaces.
The bags have different themes including elephants, cats, hedgehogs, owls, Noah's Ark and churches. They also include items such as puppets, puzzles and storybooks for you to enjoy. If you would like to reserve one of these in advance of your visit give us a call on 01392 413174.
Activity booklets are available from the entrance desk when you arrive. These are free of charge and guide you and your child around the Cathedral looking for specific things and solving puzzles.
