Library & Archives Appeal

The Cathedral library and archives contain irreplaceable treasures of national and international significance from the 10th century onwards, including the 10th century Exeter Book of Anglo Saxon poetry, the Exon Domesday, and the Cathedral's Charter (signed by Edward the Confessor).

Having now moved into the new Library and Archives facilities there is now a need to raise money to conserve a number of manuscripts and purchase archival boxes and associated conservation materials.  If you would like to help to assure the future of the library and archives please make a donation to our appeal. By doing so you will be helping us to store and display items in the correct environment, improve access and educational opportunities and thus develop the library and archives into an outstanding centre for conservation, interpretation, study and exhibitions for generations to come.
